Beyond Split Testing...
Online testing has been a black box for most. When I started working in this online marketplace some years ago, there was not an online testing suite that would handle all the aspects of testing that I required. When I started, all that anyone needed was a split testing script and maybe some graphic output.
When I started investigating testing platforms, most of the systems did not have a strong tracking and rotation script. And no software would handle a taguchi online advertising experiment.
So for the last 2 years, I have been working to specify and develop an online application that handles everything
from split testing to taguchi testing methods on one platform.
Essentially, it allows the tester to see exactly what is working in an ad. This based on taguchi algorithms for
influence, stability and statistical validity.
We have developed a tool that facilitates testing to levels that I only hoped for some years ago. Not data
manipulation, but true testing of the creative in the market environment in which it will have to perform.
We are now able to handle:
Split Testing Site Wide
Split Testing Single Page
Multiple Split Test
Taguchi L12, L18
Testing and Tracking
Sequential Ad Rotation
Throttled Traffic (protect profits while testing)
In essence, I can go as wide and as narrow as I want in any advertising test scenario.
All this template driven. So that I don't have to create a host of creatives for every experiment.
There is no other system available that can handle this level of testing.
Again, when I started in the online space, the tools that I needed did not exist... thus I have been working to have the tools created.
