The online searcher is looking for something that starts with his keyword input. It is up to you as a marketer to be ready to give him the information that he is looking for first.
If you do that you have the opportunity to keep her on the web page. If she does not find what she is looking for quickly. She will just leave. That brings us back to the idea that every landing page must get the visitor to the specific information in two clicks.
Case in Point:
We ran an experiment where we only changed the headline to tie the specific keyword to the information on the page. We didn't change any of the copy. We just targeted the headline to the keyword group.
Within days, a 75% increase in conversions. All we did was target the headline toward the keyword phrase.
